I am a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Dr Ranier Gutiérrez lab at Cinvestav, previously I was in the Dr Yuste Lab at Columbia University, and in the Dr Fernando Peña lab and Dr José Bargas lab​ at UNAM. I am specialized in advanced neuronal recording techniques and analysis software for studying neuronal circuit dynamics. I have worked with two-photon microscopy and multi-electrode arrays to record hundreds of neurons across different neuronal circuits such as the visual cortex, retina, preBötC, and striatum. I have developed acquisition software like Im-Patch© for electrophysiology and calcium imaging, and my latest tool, Xsembles2P, identifies neuronal ensembles (ONsembles and OFFsembles), featured in our Nature Communications publication Stimulus encoding by specific inactivation of cortical neurons.
